Have you ever been in the process of making cards for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and so forth from a prepacked card and envelope set and when you complete layering your card you realize it will not fit into your envelope? That has happened to me multiple times. It can get somewhat frustrating because you know that your oversized card is going to need an envelope to house it.
One way to fix that is to either make thin cards with very few layers, or if you are like me, and want lots of embellishments and things, you can find envelope templates to print out that are bigger than the size of the envelope that came with your kit.
Here is a freebie envelope template that is great for easel cards and more. I was originally going to make a pop-up card using an A2 size card (4″ x 5.5″) but when I added chipboard pieces, along with ribbon and other embellishments it would not fit into the envelope. I developed this one to house the plump card and it fit.
This kit comes with original scanned images of the envelope prototype that has my handwriting on it. I also cleaned up the image and turned it into a transparent file so that you can print the highlighted shape of the envelope onto pattern paper.
