Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What type of license is offered for the multimediacraftsdigi.com Freebies?

All freebies from the multimediacraftsdigi.com website are personal use licenses.  That means that the items can be used for print, digital, and other things, if there is no monetary gain made from it.

How may I use the multimediacraftsdigi.com Freebies I download from the website?

You may use them for personal use, as long as you do not receive any type of monetary gain from it.

May I use your items to decorate mugs/clothing/accessories/etc. that I use for personal use or gifts without making any monetary gains on my blog, or website?

Yes.  You can always use my designs on physical goods that you use for yourself or give away without receiving any profit (for example, you could take a vintage style label, put it on a jar, without modifying the image at all).

May I use your items in online or print advertising, website design, magazines, billboards, etc.?

Yes. As with physical goods, if you are not distributing the digital file directly to other people, you can generally use it as you like, but they must be modified.  For example, if you are making a greeting card for a friend you can use an image from the multimediacraftsdigi.com website Freebies page, add it to the card along with other embellishments and show where you got your image to make it on your blog, YouTube Channel, Facebook page, or other social media site.  You may use the Freebies as long as there is no monetary gain from it.

What counts as modifying/remixing an item?

Using one of the multimediacraftsdigi.com Freebie elements combined with your own elements to create a unique design, paper, or embellishment.  For example, if you used a multimediacraftsdigi.com Freebies cat file and added a Christmas hat and bell to it in Adobe Photoshop, and then uploaded that remixed image to Cricut Design Space and printed it out to add to a junk journal, that would be considered modifying or remixing an item.  That is totally fine, as long as it is for personal use and you receive no monetary gain from it.

TIPS

Most of multimediacraftsdigi.com Freebie digital files are in either .png or .jpeg format. Occasionally they will be in PSD format. These images can be printed on various types of printers (including both inkjet and LaserJet). Some of the digital pages vary in range from 8.5” x 11” to 12” x 12” in size. These larger files may need to get adjusted to fit the style printer you are using. This can be completed using software that can accommodate diverse formats and layers, such as Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, CorelDraw and more.
