For the month of September, I have decided to challenge myself each week to scrapping with certain hues. This week (September 1-5, 2020) I am using shades of green.
I began by opening up a new print, 12″ x 12″ file in Adobe Photoshop CC 2020. Under “Preset Details” I set the resolution to 300 pixels /inch, the “Color Mode” to RGB color 8 bit, “Background Contents” White, and Color Profile to, “Working RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1, with a Pixel aspect ratio set to “Square Pixels.”
I chose the d5f1e0 hue for the background. Next I opened, copied, and pasted one of the free graphics from Multimedia Crafts Digital Freebies, “Leaf Overlay” kit. (Click here to download kit)I then changed the hue of the pasted overlay to 3f652d.
I then added my focal point, a picture of some coffee and a banana. I added it along with some other elements to the canvas.
I got some of the elements from Pixel Scrapper and others from the latest Multimedia Crafts Digital Freebie, “Drink Up” clip art kit.
Base photo image photo added using the overlay blending option
I continued to play around with the different color overlay blending options until I reached a satisfying look. This was a very fun project.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
